WELCOME TO NORTH SHORE HEALTH SERVICES
How we can help
At North Shore Health Services we offer ABA therapy. ABA(applied behavior analysis) focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. We use the science of learning and behavior in a way that helps increase useful or desired behaviors, while reducing harmful or problem behaviors. ABA therapy is used to increase language and communication skills. It is also proven to show growth in language development, social skills, and milestone development.
What to expect
Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) will create an effective behavior plan that is tailored to the individual. After an extensive evaluation is complete, the BCBA will implement an individualized treatment plan that will best fit the needs of your child. Your child will recieve 1:1 therapy along with ongoing analysis of their progress to ensure they are continuing to progress and succeed.
Parent training
Parent training refers to involving the parents or caregivers in their child’s ABA therapy. These training sessions may include sharing details of behavioral goals, observing parents implementing target programming, and providing feedback. Parent training could be as simple as making recommendations to the family about behavioral supports in the home. You child’s success is enhanced when behaviors learned during therapy are reinforced in the home, and we want to make sure you have every resource available to you.
